50c 2000 Royal Visit UNC Carded
To commemorate the visit to Australia by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in March 2000 the R.A.M struck a cupro-nickel 50 cent with a unique effigy used exclusively for this coin. It was the first time since 1936 that an effigy of a monarch designed by an Australian has featured on an Aussie coin. The reverse of this uncirculated 50¢ features the Australian flag above new Parliament House.
