2026 40th Anniversary of the Australian Gold Program 1oz Silver Gold Plated - Hobart ANDA Show

The Perth Mint is proud to present this Hobart Money Expo ANDA special 40th anniversary of the Australian Nugget coin, struck from 1oz of pure 99.99% silver in proof quality with gold plating. 

The coin's reverse depicts the Welcome Stranger, the largest nugget ever recorded. Unearthed by prospectors Jon Deason and Richard Oates at Moliagul, Victoria in February 1869, their 2284 ounces find was too large for the scales and had to be broken into three pieces before being weighed.
